Thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, maybe even
millions of Monarch Butterflies were migrating through Silicon Valley
today. The birds were having a picnic. I tried to capture some of the
flight patterns, but, alas was only quick enough to get this Monarch
taking a break on, of all things, a piece of cow dung. For more

Boys, Pond, Snails = Slug Fest !!!...

Once upon a time on a warm spring afternoon two boys and their
faithful dog ( Jake the Wonder Dog ) were exploring a seasonal spring
pond in a quiet meadow. Boys being boys, they soon turned the meadow into a
baseball field and were using a large stick for a bat, and slugs for
baseballs. Fortunately, many slugs were a bit too small, and escaped
the ensuing "slug fest"...
